About this Event:

Whether you want to enjoy hunting, hiking, birdwatching or backpacking, join us to improve your awareness, ethics, safety and skills in the field! MassWildlife, partnering with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the New England Chapter of Artemis, will be holding a course for adult women covering many different outdoor skills including how to prepare for a trip, reading maps online and on paper, reading the woods, field ID, wilderness first aid, and using a compass. The first half of the class at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge which will cover the basics of these skills and the second half of the class will include a short drive to Kent's Island where we will apply our new skills in the field!

About the Program

Overview:

The Becoming and Outdoorswoman Program offers many different outdoor skills classes and activities designed for adult women ages 18+. A sampling of workshop offerings may include: outdoor skills, turkey or deer hunting seminars, mentored hunts, and much more.
