About this Event:

This is a free event in which DMF staff will teach basic saltwater angling skills through hands on educational activities in a fun and enthusiastic environment! This program is intended for families and individuals new to saltwater fishing, participants who attend this event will learn skills such as knot tying, casting, proper fish handling and identification, and best of all catch and release fishing!
So come out and spend the day with Division of Marine Fisheries staff and learn how to saltwater fish! This is a preregistered event and spots are limited so register today!

  • Only the participant(s) I am registering may fish, however everyone is welcome to participate in other activities throughout the clinic.
  • I (Parent/Guardian) MUST stay with my youth, even when visiting concession stand or bathroom.
  • I am responsible for bringing weather appropriate items, including attire, sunglasses, hat, and sunblock for myself and my family.
  • I am responsible for providing food and drinks for myself and my family.
  • I release Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries and co-sponsors from liability and understand I am responsible for my and my angler’s wellbeing.

About the Program


These events are intended for families and individuals new to saltwater fishing. DMF staff work with participants to teach basic saltwater angling skills through hands on learning and fun educational activities. Our mission is to teach responsible angling and give participants the skills and confidence necessary to go saltwater fishing on their own.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to saltwater fish? Join MarineFisheries and attend one of our Saltwater Angler Education Fishing Clinics and we will show you how! We provide the equipment, bait, and tackle all you have to do is have fun! You’ll learn knot tying to casting and even get to fish! Pre-registration is required. Please note this program is intended for beginners.
